Dynasty - Palais de Tokyo

11 June - 5 Sept.

DYNASTY

Palais de Tokyo,
Paris, FRANCE

1 exhibition, 2 locations, 40 artists, 80 propositions: DYNASTY is the culmination of a never before seen collaboration between the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris/ARC and the Palais de Tokyo.
The artists infuse the totality of the exhibition space and each of them presents, in a fresh stereophonic approach, a work in each of the two venues.
Through its many techniques and stylistic approaches, DYNASTY reveals the drive of a generation and the diversity of its preoccupations, ranging from the most experimental technoscience to the most intimate autofiction. Fragile materials are subject to usages that revalorize them while the development of the computer modeling transforms our grasp of space and objects. This project continues the work of prospecting carried out previously by the Palais de Tokyo and by ARC at the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris.

According to thierry Ehrmann, founder and CEO of Artprice: "2009 will go down in history as a year when the art market shed its excesses and narrowly avoided a complete meltdown". 2010-03-08 Ben Retrospective - Rétrospective Ben

March 3 - July 11, 2010

Rétrospective Ben - Strip-Tease Intégral

MAC : Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon,
Lyon, FRANCE

Ben takes hold the Lyon Museum of Contemporary Art with its artworks: paintings, texts, videos 50 years of art: the really first exhibition gathering all Ben, from his early Fluxus spirit works to installations created especially for the occasion.

Ben is one of the major artists of the 20th century. Known especially for his actions and paintings, his work constitutes a meditation on the deepest aspects of art and, by taking on board everyday reality at its most detailed, manages to make life itself an art form. His work engages with themes as diverse as ethnicity, the ego and truth.
Ben has become incredibly popular thanks to his "critures", written paintings which combine acute impertinence and keen insight.
